Both St Germans and Hayle have good train services and having retained almost
all its branch lines, there aren't many things that can't be done in Cornwall
by train and bus .
We are fortunate to have good value off peak rail fares in Cornwall and Devon and there are also several rover type tickets available to make a car free holiday a better option for the wallet as well as the planet and the soul! National Rail - Train times, prices and bookings. The National Rail phone app is really good and it's free from the App Store etc. You can plan journeys, get fares, track wether your train is on time and even set an alarm so that you don't miss your stop. Living where we do we can vouch for this last feature being useful as we have had to help out several bleary eyed travellers over the years!
